Modena Cento Ore 2021: a coast to coast challenge

The team at Canossa Events has prepared another special edition of the Modena Cento Ore to fire up the roaring engines of passion in 2021. It will cross Italy from east to west, from the Adriatic to the Mediterranean, with 3 races on the track and 10 special stages, all organised with the focus on hospitality and safety.

8th – 13th June 2021: Make a note of the dates of this year’s edition of the Modena Cento Ore, all ready to welcome the crews taking part, eager to fire up the roaring engines of passion after such a complicated winter.

As always, it will be a perfect combination of wonderful cars, gentlemen drivers, competition, tourism, exhilarating roads, breathtaking scenery, fine food and wine, and relaxation. An exciting journey, taking a coast-to-coast route with 10 special uphill stages on roads closed to normal traffic, 3 races on the legendary circuits at Misano, Imola and Mugello, and 1 super special stage at the Modena circuit. An experience complemented by superb hospitality and unique evening events held in exclusive locations. The event guarantees compliance with safety regulations, offering the crews an enjoyable and jam-packed experience.

An overview of the Modena Cento Ore

The Modena Cento Ore is still the only rally in Italy, and one of the few in the world, where the drivers have the chance to challenge one another on both the racetrack and on special stages held on public roads: a winning combination of a rally and speed on the racetrack, made even more exciting by the starting grid at the departure.

Competition and Regularity: two different approaches but the same route and the same programme so that the participants can enjoy their passion for motor sport in the manner they like best: whether they want the adrenaline boost of driving at top speed on Italy’s legendary circuits and the special stages, or the more relaxed experience offered by the regularity race, with timed laps on the track and average speed trials held on roads closed to traffic, designed for those who prefer to savour the pleasure of the journey.

The crews will be behind the wheel for four days of driving along the most beautiful roads in Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria and Marche. A coast to coast, stopping in Rimini, Florence, Forte dei Marmi and Modena.

The 2021 Route

The route will cross Italy from east to west with a chain of spectacular stages that the public can come and watch along the way.
After the scrutineering and the display of the cars in Rimini on June 8th, the first leg will set off from Parco Fellini at 8.30 am on Wednesday June 9th. The cars will drive through San Marino, Chiusi della Verna, Anghiari, Sansepolcro, Città di Castello, and Urbino, finishing up at the Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit ready for the first race on the track of this year’s edition.

The second leg will get off to a start on June 10th with an exciting race at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit in Imola. The itinerary then crosses Emilia-Romagna and enters Tuscany, driving through Castel del Rio and Scarperia. The evening event will be held in Florence, the beautiful birthplace of the Italian Renaissance.

The third leg will start with the legendary and always exhilarating race at the Mugello Circuit. The route then passes through Pistoia and its surroundings, Montecatini Terme, and Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, ending up at Forte dei Marmi, one of the most famous locations in Versilia.

On June 12th, the fourth and final leg will set off from Forte dei Marmi and cross Passo delle Radici, driving down to Pavullo nel Frignano and Vignola, before entering the Modena Circuit for the last super special stage. The conclusion of the rally will be in Piazza Roma and Piazza Grande in Modena, the heart of the Motor Valley.

Commitment to social and environmental issues

We are continuing our efforts to organise all our events as sustainably as possible and have been working in accordance with the ‘Carbon Zero’ protocol (ISO 14064) for several years in order to reduce our environmental impact. We also offset the CO2 emissions generated by our events by planting new trees in the Apennine Mountains.

We are particularly proud that the Modena Cento Ore is once again the only zero-emission event of its kind.

We have also renewed our continued support of the activities of the Panathlon Club of Modena, with whom we have been sponsoring a project for several years designed to make sports more accessible to people with disabilities.
