I have almost lost count of the number of times that I have competed in the MCO and have had my share of both fun and also disappointments when the car failed…but this year was my best ever result. Simon and I were so pleased to finish in the position that we did, with very strong competition from some experienced teams from France and elsewhere. And we did not have a support team, so do all the car maintenance ourselves.
It was also good that there were less teams from the UK because we made many new friends from other countries.
So, as always, I am very happy and enjoyed the event. The most important thing is that you do not change the format, and that you keep a limit on the number of cars. The MCO really is a very special event for me, and I look forward to it every year.
I hope to see you all in 2022, without a mask!
