Florence, September 22, 2025 – As tradition now dictates, mid-October sees the elegant grounds of Villa La Massa, the five-star hotel nestled on the banks of the Arno just outside Florence, host an extraordinary celebration of contemporary supercars and hypercars: Villa La Massa Excellence. Conceived and brought to life in collaboration with Canossa, the leading name in the creation of high-end automotive experiences, the event masterfully blends the sophistication of refined lifestyle with the passion for modern automotive excellence. Among the past highlights, icons such as the Maserati MC12, Bugatti Centodieci, McLaren F1 GTR, and Ferrari F40 LM have graced the lawns of Villa La Massa.
Following the resounding success of its first two editions, this year’s event promises to be just as thrilling, with several one-of-a-kind vehicles set to take center stage. From October 17 to 19, the garden of Villa La Massa will showcase a curated selection of rare, limited-production vehicles from marques such as Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Bugatti, and select boutique manufacturers.
Together with Villa d’Este – the iconic five-star hotel on Lake Como and part of the same Group – Villa La Massa champions automotive excellence through two prestigious events: the legendary Concorso d’Eleganza for classic cars at Como, and this exclusive gathering of exceptional contemporary automobiles in Florence. This synergy enhances the prestige of Villa La Massa Excellence, a truly distinctive experience where automotive beauty and power meet the finest Italian hospitality and gastronomy – an invitation to “savor life to the fullest.”
A unique feature of the Concours is its diverse and balanced jury, composed of both men and women, equally represented, with varied expertise spanning automotive design, journalism, art, and culture. Their evaluation goes far beyond performance, taking into account design, color palettes, interior refinement, and aesthetic details. Among the distinguished jury members:
- Laura Confalonieri, journalist with deep automotive insight
- Katarina Kyvalova, international collector and racing driver
- Maria Mantero, expert in art and fashion
- Clara Bona, architect and journalist
- Emmanuel Bacquet, curator and museum consultant
- Fabio Filippini, car designer and author
- Stefano Guindani, fashion photographer and philanthropist
- Marco Makaus, veteran automotive event organizer
Jury President: Massimo Delbò, renowned automotive historian and journalist.
In addition to the official jury, two special groups will also cast their votes: the young jury, made up of children up to 12 years of age, and the public, who are invited to participate during the event. Public access will be available on Saturday, October 18, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (end of the parade), via a special day pass priced at €80. This includes access to the exhibition area, direct engagement with the vehicle owners, and the opportunity to witness the parade and awards ceremony.
Davide Bertilaccio, CEO di Villa d’Este Spa, proudly highlights the values that make this international event so unique:
“Villa La Massa Excellence was born from a desire to celebrate and share a passion that has long been part of our Group’s identity: the love of automobiles and the culture they embody. Our collection of hotels is rooted in a pursuit of excellence, and this event reaffirms our commitment to elegance, quality, and the appreciation of beauty in all its forms. Villa La Massa, with its exceptional riverside location just minutes from Florence’s historic center, is not only a sanctuary of hospitality and wellbeing, but also a treasure trove of experiences – from fine dining to refined service and, in recent years, to the timeless allure of the world’s rarest and most extraordinary cars. This is more than just a meeting of collectors and enthusiasts: it is a moment of discovery and connection for the broader public. I extend a warm invitation to all, especially to the Florentine community: come visit us, get to know us, and be part of this unforgettable experience – cast your vote and help choose the most beloved car of this edition. Villa La Massa Excellence awaits you to celebrate beauty, culture, and excellence together.”
Luigi Orlandini, Chairman and CEO di Canossa, expresses his satisfaction, stating:
“We are delighted to continue our collaboration with the Villa d’Este Group, a longstanding and undisputed benchmark in the fields of hospitality and hotellerie. Canossa, in turn, is proud to bring its expertise in delivering outstanding events. Villa La Massa Excellence has, in a very short time, established itself as a must-attend occasion for enthusiasts of extraordinary cars. Just think of Fritz Burkard’s Bugatti Centodieci, winner of the Coppa d’Oro, or models such as the Pininfarina Battista and the Maserati MC12, to grasp the spirit of this concours. This year too, we look forward to genuine emotions and new memories to share with fellow enthusiasts and collectors.”
At the conclusion of the parade on Saturday, October 18, the “Supercars Firenze” awards will be presented at Villa La Massa, featuring two categories with three winners each: one dedicated to vehicles that have driven the Evolution of the automobile, and the other to those that have embodied Innovation. Special awards will also be given, including to the car with the highest mileage and the one that traveled the longest distance by road to reach the event. The evening will culminate with the gala dinner in the evocative setting of “Atto” by Vito Mollica at Palazzo Portinari Salviati, in the heart of Florence, where the most coveted prize will be awarded: the Best of Show – Coppa d’Oro Villa La Massa. This prestigious name pays tribute to the renowned Coppa d’Oro of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. As tradition now dictates, the event will conclude on Sunday with the tour, featuring a lunch stop in Monteriggioni, offering the public the rare opportunity to see many of these extraordinary cars in motion on the open road.
