Villa La Massa Excellence 2025

Villa La Massa, Villa d’Este: Two Sides of a Precious Medal Dedicated to the Culture of Automobiles

June 19, 2025: Villa La Massa, overlooking the Arno River at the gates of Florence, and Villa d’Este, set against the enchanting backdrop of Lake Como, belong to the same group, Villa d’Este Hotels. For the third consecutive year, they are united by events dedicated to enhancing the culture of the automobile. While Villa d’Este, with its first edition in 1929, annually celebrates the great classics of automotive collecting, Villa La Massa offers the complementary event, showcasing and rewarding the most iconic Supercars, vehicles manufactured from the 1990s to the present day. Villa La Massa Excellence, whose third edition is scheduled for the weekend of 17–19 October 2025, dedicates its Concours d’Elegance to extraordinary modern and contemporary cars, much like Villa d’Este did in the 1920s, where the cars presented were the most sought-after of the moment. To give an idea of what the public can admire, it is enough to remember that in 2023, the Villa La Massa Golden Cup was awarded to the prototype of the famous Ferrari F40, while last year, the Cup went to the extremely rare 2023 Bugatti EB 110. Villa La Massa Excellence is organised in collaboration with Canossa, a leading company in the organisation of events and excellence experiences. Since there is no evaluation of historical content, which is typical of classic cars, the jury for Villa La Massa Excellence is made up of experts in design, art, sport, and the automotive world. Two additional awards will be particularly coveted: the “People’s Choice,” a recognition given directly by the public present on the Saturday (Public Day), and the “Future Choice” awarded by a special Junior Jury, consisting of children and teenagers who, with enthusiasm and participation, will select their favourite car. The beauty of the event extends beyond the cars themselves. The villa, an architectural gem of the Medici era, set in a 10-hectare park, transforms the event into a unique experience, to be enjoyed throughout the weekend for those who choose to purchase the two-night stay package, or for just the Saturday, which includes admission to the morning show and, from 3:00 PM, the parade of participating cars and the excitement of the award ceremony.

Canossa, a unique style from far away. We were born in 2011 in Emilia, the only region in the world that inherited its name from a road, the 2200-year-old Roman Consular Road Via Emilia. It’s no surprise that we are mainly focused on driving experiences and automotive in general. But that’s not all. The main objectives of all of our events and activities – even the non-automotive ones – are quality and excellence.
